New Year's Day found us moving into our "new" home on Orchid Street in the Mid-City area of New Orleans. This area had several feet of water during Katrina, but fortunately, many of our neighbors have been able to return home and renovate their houses, as indicated by the sign across the street.

Great job blogging, mom! As you may notice, I changed the post dates (by logging in as you) so that they appear reverse chronologically. I'm looking forward to seeing more of New Orleans, both through your blog photos and in person!
